Home of the $100 Website!

Providing services since 1992
Obtaining and hosting a domain, having a website designed and then having some search engine optimization has never been easier for the small or micro business client. The Small Businessman includes your $10 domain registration fee when the Small Businessman hosts your site for $100 per year. Incredibly, this also includes a free Small Businessman membership another $10.00 value! That leaves only $81 for the hosting and setup—that's an incredibly low $6.75 per month! I'll give you links here to the cheapest deals from my major competitors and let you figure the value, especially when you consider the hours you might take from your business to set up your own website. Read their contracts. Can you get out and take your site with you? You can do so at any time with the Small Businessman.

How does it all work?
The internet servers, where websites are stored, all have numeric addresses. When you buy a domain name, you're buying a name to go with the address because folks usually wouldn't remember the address numbers, but would remember the names. Tying the name to the address and then protecting that name on your behalf is why you buy a domain name. In order to see your web page, it must be on the server at an Internet address, not necessarily on your computer. Somebody has to create the webpage, usually by writing html code into a document, before sending the document to the server, usually by using a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) type program. You can do this yourself, but many folks find that having an expert to the work frees them up for the creative and redundant tasks of running their day to day businesses. Unless you're really good at websites, designing your own alone is often a really bad idea.
Let's compare a few services as of 6/19/08 - Please go to the sites linked to learn more about what you get from each of these services and to fully read their End User and Terms of Service agreements (There's about 4 hours right there! Do they really get your first born?). I hope you'll come back to see The Small Businessman!

To get your own domain name, please follow the steps listed below. The registration process is somewhat rigid and should be taken seriously. Plan carefully by having a solid idea of what domain name or potential names you would like before submitting a completed Registration Agreement. It's a good idea to submit a first, second or third choice because many prime names are already being used by other companies and organizations.
If your requested domain is not available, The Small Businessman will get back to you with some options or you may choose another name. The Small Businessman will check any domain name free of charge limited to up to 10 name attempts. If a name can't be found, The Small Businessman will issue a full refund of your domain purchase fee.
